Summer So Far at Revolution

     

        Summer Camp!

So far this summer, Revolution has consisted of a lot of  fun hang outs with kids in Belle Glade and Casa del Monte!

At Casa..

We have been going out to Casa MWF from 9am to 2pm and we love it! We enjoy being able to take the kids outside of their neighborhood to places like the beach, waterparks, the movies, museums and McDonald’s to have sume fun summer experiences together!

This past Friday, we took the kids to Lake Worth Beach. Sometimes the kids at Casa can get into some heated conversations with each other, but as our director Megan Okusko said, “When the Casa kids fight, you put them in water and they’re fine!”  These kids really love the water! Most played in the waves, some built sand castles and a few brought fishing poles! One of our older kids, 14 year old LJ caught a baby Moonfish!

End of the School Year Bash

We had our end of the school party this past week in Belle Glade. The kids performed their dances, displayed artwork, and shared about Revolution with their parents and friends. Not to mention we had a blast eating food and playing games.

Congrats Alex!

Alex tied for first place in his school’s talent show this past week! He performed the Lil Saints dance he learned at Revolution! Some of the leaders got to go out and watch him.

Great job Alex! 

(On a side note, please for Alex and his family. They are moving to GA in a few weeks. It will be sad to have him leave).

Revolution kids write letters to Indian Orphanage

Some of kids took time and wrote letters to Grace Home this past week. It was interesting to hear what they wanted to tell the Indian children. We have been talking about missions and trying to have the kids look at things beyond the boundaries of their town. It was a fun activity. 

School’s Out Party

Revolution Belle Glade will have a party this Thursday at 5:00 at the BG campus!

Come for food, fun, and see the dance team perform!

What a great way to kick off summer!

Meeting this Sunday!

There will be a meeting for all Belle Glade Volunteers this Sunday! Here’s the details…

Sunday 24th
TIME:    6:45pm (right after we get back from Revolution)
PLACE:  SCC. That little classroom where we’ve had the last couple meetings

Belle Glade- Lil Saints

The Belle Glade after school program has hip hop dance classes on Thursdays. Some of the kids made an “A” team this past semester and learned a special dance. The kids were able to perform at Grace Fellowship’s main campus last weekend.
